Guided Reading Folders:
Everyone did a great job bringing their folders back and forth this week.  We will continue with this routine.  .   THESE BOOKS ARE NOT TO BE PLACED IN YOUR CHILD'S BOOK BOX AT HOME.  THEY BELONG TO MYSELF OR CRAM.  PLEASE RETURN THEM IN THE GUIDED READING FOLDER THE FOLLOWING DAY. Please understand that if your child does not return the folder with the book, I will not be sending a new book until it is returned.  I understand that sometimes books can get lost.  Books belonging to Cram will cost $10 if lost or damaged.  Please help your child be responsible and return the books daily.

Valentines Day:
Parent Volunteers:  Please come to the classroom at 11:45 on the day of the party.  Thanks for volunteering!
We will be celebrating Valentines Day on February 14th.  We will have Valentine centers from 12:00 to 1:50.  Please let me know if you are able to volunteer this day.  Students will be passing out valentines if they'd like.  Please follow the following directions if choosing to send valentines with your child:

1.  DO NOT address the valentines with any names.  This makes passing them out MUCH easier.

2.  If sending Valentines, send one for every student who celebrates Valentine's Day.  There will be 21 students celebrating Valentines Day.

3.  Do not send valentines with candy.  You may pass out valentines with trinkets but not with candy please.

Thanks for helping to make Valentine's Day fun and run smoothly in our classroom!

3 Piggy Opera:

I have assigned some parts.  These parts can change, depending on your child's attendance and their  ability to perform the part.  Every student will have a part in the play  I may make changes as the play practice continues.

Our class will be doing a play on March 15th at 1:15 in the cafeteria.  We would love for you to come. All family and friends are invited to see our cute version of the 3 Pigs!  Cafeteria doors will open at 1:00 and the play will begin at 1:15 sharp.

Math Night
Our school will be having a family Math Night on February 28th.  This will be a fun night for the whole family.  Please see the flyer in your child's take home folder on Monday and mark your calendars.

Read Across America Day
Read Across America Day is March 2nd.  We will be celebrating by dressing up as a book character.  Please check your childs' take home folder on Monday for a flyer with information and rules to our dress up day.  I WILL be dressing up and hope to see 100% participation on this day.
