Thank you to all who donated money for our basket!  Jenni, our room mom, will put the basket together and be sure to come to the carnival and check it out!
Raffle tickets and game tickets can be pre bought and a flyer went home last week regarding this.  Tickets can also be purchased at the carnival.

 One Minute Read:
Continue practicing the short vowel One Minute Read.  If your child is still working on the Priority Words, it would be a good idea to keep practicing that list too.  

Homework:
Thank you for supporting your child in the homework process.  You are helping to instill good habits that will help them be successful in future grades.
1.  One Minute Read:  Be sure to practice daily.  Instructions are clear on it.  Return in folder on Friday.  I'm really noticing the students who are improving in this!!  It makes a HUGE difference in their reading!

Carnival Basket:
Our School Carnival is one of our funnest events of the year!  Part of the fun is our carnival baskets!  Each class is in charge of 1 themed basket.  Our theme this year is Star Wars!  Our room mom will be sending an informational letter home about our basket and will also request a cash donation to put towards the items that she will shop for to put in our basket.  This means "one less thing for you on your shopping list".  You can place your donation in an envelope marked 'BASKET' and place it in your child's take home folder and I will be sure she gets it.  Thanks for your help in making our school carnival basket great!

Baby Pictures:
We will be discussing how we grow and change this week.  Be sure to send a baby picture in a baggy marked with their name.  I will return them unharmed.  Thank you!

Week of March 6th

Just a few important things:

Homework:

NO Written homework this week

3 Piggy Opera:
Our play will be this Friday at 11:00 sharp in the cafeteria.  Feel free to invite family.  Plan to arrive a few minutes early.
I sent home a 1/2 sheet last Thursday indicating what I needed your child to wear on the play day.  If you are not sure, please contact me with questions.
Students will be free to go after our play is finished.

Spring Break:
No school for the next 2 weeks.

Reading Celebration Night:
This Tuesday at 6:00.  It will be a fun night to spend with family here at Cram.

Dr. Seuss' Birthday
We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday on Thursday!  We will be reading Dr. Seuss books and having green eggs and ham.  
Here's what we will need:
1.  1 dozen uncooked eggs
2.  24 slices of ham
3.  spoons
4.  small paper plates

Please message me if you can help out with any of these and send them on Wednesday.  

Book Bags:
We have another assessment to get through this week so you will not see book bags come home nightly.  Please have your child read from their book box nightly.

One School One Book:
We will continue to read and ask the students questions each day.  The students have a chance to win a prize if they know the answer.

3 Piggy Opera:
Your child may have mentioned a play we will be performing for you.  We will perform our 3 Piggy Opera play on March 10th.  That is a minimum day.  You won't want to miss it so mark your calendars.

Guided Reading:
If your child is reading at a level 2-3:  I can not stress the importance of learning their sight words in order to reach level 5 benchmark by the end of kindergarten.
