Apple Sauce:
The kiddos had fun making applesauce!  Its always funny to see how some of the kiddos LOVE the applesauce and can't get enough of it and others want nothing to do with it.  I got each of them to at least try it.

Creation Lab:
The kiddos got a chance to visit our new creation lab this week and learn the expectations of the lab.  They will begin hands on learning this week on Thursday when they practice engineering and creating different things.  I'll keep you posted as to how it goes.  Should be a lot of fun!

Share Homework:
Thank you for helping your child complete their share homework this week.  Please encourage your child to use the sight words we've been learning and to draw a colorful picture to go with it.  Please see next week's share topic by clicking on the Homework tab.

Jog-a-thon:
Our annual jog-a-thon will take place September 11.  This is a fun event that helps raise money for our classroom.  As I mentioned at orientation, the funds I receive for supplies and materials is quite limited.  The jog-a-thon allows the kiddos to help raise extra money for our classroom by asking friends and family for donations.  I will be sending the paperwork home this week and hopefully your child can be a part of helping to raise extra money for our classroom!  I definitely appreciate your support!

Jog-a-thon Prizes:
I thought it would be fun to include some prizes for the students who participated in the jog-a-thon.  These prizes are cumulative, so your child can earn as many as they can.  Please do not feel that donations are mandatory for the jog-a-thon.  Your child will still participate in the jo-a-thon regardless of donations.  The prizes will be for the students who raise donations.
Students who raise:
$10- Earn an extra recess
$20- Earn a candy and a pencil
$30- Earn a free kids meal from Chilis
$40- Earn a popsicle party
$50- Earn a pizza party
$60- Earn a free book
Most money raised will win a mystery prize worth $10.

Thanks for your support with this fundraiser.  This is the only fundraiser we do whose money goes directly to our classroom this year.  Remember, prizes are cumulative. If collecting donations from family and friends, I recommend just collecting flat donations.  Please send any collected donations on or before September 11th.  All money is deposited to the district office and will not be held by me.
